There are some transportation to get to Kyoto from KIX
There are some transportation to get to kyoto from Kansai Internatoinal Airport, however it is quite a long way, taxi costs too expensive (Approx. JPY 26,660 ~ JPY 31,160). Therefore taking a bus or a train would be a better choice. You can use JR train or Nankai train or Bus, Nankai train goes to Osaka and not directly goes to Kyoto then I would recommend JR or Bus.
No e-tickets available
You may not believe, however still e-ticket is really limited as a purchase method for a train /bus in Japan, therefore you cannot buy your ticket online before your arrival to Japan. You need to buy a ticket at the ticket office in the airport station or the bus ticket office.
